Westfield Marion recently opened the first stage of their expansion and upgrade project to their main shopping complex in the South of Adelaide. The new Food Mall brings together an inspiring design layout with the inclusion of 15 new food and produce offerings with the main drawcard being Aldi’s newest addition to the Adelaide Marketplace.

SignManager not only designed the artwork package for the site in compliance with Aldi’s rigorous guidelines, but also provided competitive pricing.

Branded Assets: More than just signage

When was the last time you looked at your signage? Not a glance, a good hard look. But not just at the signs, at your brand as well. It is easy to forget about something if it isn’t front of mind. And for many organisations after their signage is installed, the next time it is considered is when it’s time to rebrand or someone brings to their attention the assets are in need of maintenance and repairs.

But it is important to consider your signage assets more often than this. And remember it’s not just about the signs; it is also about your brand. What brand is on your signage? Is it the same brand, or are there a number of different brands on display? If so, is this inconsistency affecting your business?

Organisations need to remember their signage is always on show. It can be used to create lasting impressions and powerful connections with their customers. This is why signage needs to be considered more than once every five to 10 years. And organisations need to keep checking they are happy with the message their bricks and mortar locations are conveying.

Today we want you to spend 10 minutes considering your signage. Ask yourself do you have a maintenance strategy in place for your branded assets? Or is it time to rebrand? Whatever the state of your signage it is important to keep looking up.

Branded Assets – A Vital Communication Tool

Branded Assets is a term we’ve been using at SignManager since we began in the year 2000. Branded Assets, as the name suggests, refers to any asset an organisation owns or leases that displays their brand. At SignManager we use the term Branded Assets to refer to our client’s portfolio of signage. Depending on your business, your Branded Assets could include exterior signage, point of sale, posters, billboards, banners, menu boards, digital signage, etc.

No matter what type or how many Branded Assets your organisation has, they all have a role to play in your marketing. Your exterior signage displays your logo and name, and lets your customer know this is where they will find you. Directorial signage shows your customer the way to your store, branch or outlet or maybe it directs the customer around your store. Your commercial Branded Assets are advertising your marketing messages to your customers. And your digital signage is used to engage and interact with your customers.

All your Branded Assets have two things in common; they are a tool in which you can communicate with your customer and they display your brand. Therefore it is important you take the time and effort to consider what these Branded Assets are saying to your customers and how they are displaying your brand. You want to ensure the branding is consistent with your guidelines and that the marketing message is on-target with your strategies. After all Branded Assets are a unique marketing tool, they are the only ones constantly promoting your organisation and always on-display to the customer.
